Biography:
Trisha began her movie career with "Leysa Leysa" {2002} directed by Priyadarshan and appeared that year in two more movies "Manasellam" and "Mounam Pesiyadhe". Starring opposite Surya in "Mounam Pesiyadhe" Trisha won all-round applause for her brilliant performance in the movie and also won Filmfare Best Female Debut {Tamil}. The beautiful actress further gave an outstanding performance in "Saamy" {2003} opposite leading Tamil hero Vikram and "Ghilli" {2004}, a remake of Telugu super hit movie "Okkadu".
After a string of successes in Tamil, Trisha moved to Telugu films and made her debut with "Varsham" {2004} starring opposite Prabhas. Her zestful performance in the movie, especially in a rain-dance song sequence 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana...' was a wild hit with the audience and she became an instant celebrity, while the movie went on to become a blockbuster hit. In the end, she received two Best Actress Awards from Filmfare and Santhosham, a colorful Telugu cine magazine.
Refining her acting talents further, she rendered a sterling performance in "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" {2005} directed by actor-turned Prabhu Deva and went on to win two more Best Actress Awards from Filmfare and Government of Andhra Pradesh initiated Nandi Award. Even for "Athadu" {2005}, the beautiful actress earned Filmfare nomination in the category of Best Actress. In a family entertainer "Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule" {2007}, Trisha starring opposite Venkatesh gave an excellent performance endearing herself to the women audience. The versatile actress has even tried comedy in "Kireedam" {2007} and successfully sent the audience home reeling with laughter.
Trisha, the beautiful actress has acted along side the top names in South Indian films like Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Surya, Vikram, Vijay, Prabhas, Madhavan, Mahesh Babu, Srikanth, Siddharth, Jayam Ravi, Shaam and Silambarasan.
